WHAT:

2022 CLUBCORP CLASSIC

The inaugural ClubCorp Classic is an officially PGA TOUR Champions sanctioned event that will feature 78 PGA TOUR Champions and 50 sports and entertainment superstars, April 19-24, 2022, at Las Colinas Country Club in Irving, Texas.

Ten ClubCorp members will also qualify to play in the tournament as a result of unique regional and national amateur competitions.

PGA TOUR Champions professionals will play 54 holes of stroke play for a purse of $2 million, while the celebrities will compete for $500,000 utilizing a modified Stableford scoring format. Threesomes may include a combination of TOUR Champions and celebrities, and some with all Champions players or all celebrities, as well as ten ClubCorp members from regional and national qualifier competition. All three rounds will air on Golf Channel.

WHO:

The list of complete PGA TOUR Champions players as well as the celebrities will be announced upon their commitments between now and April. The combination of a $2 million purse, the unique and popular format with sports and entertainment personalities, three days of coverage on Golf Channel from Las Colinas Country Club in Irving, Texas – ClubCorp’s flagship property, and a weeklong schedule of off-course activities, events and concerts for players, families and sponsors presented by tournament organizer Mike Flaskey Entertainment, will provide a singular experience to earn “Classic” designation.

FORMAT:

PGA TOUR Champions Competition: 54 holes of stroke play over three days; no cut.

Celebrity Competition: The modified Stableford scoring format awards six points for eagle, three for birdie, one for par, zero for bogey, minus-two for double-bogey and higher.
